We will guarantee free crash to all teams from outside of Ireland, including the rest of IONA. We understand that you will have had to spend money to travel to the competition and we want to make the rest of the weekend as low-cost, or cost-free as possible.
For all Irish delegations, we are currently negotiating a reduced price for block-booking a local hostel and will pass on the information to you as soon as details are finalised.
Food
I personally guarantee that there will be lots of good food throughout the event (my granny would be so cross if she thought that I’d let a guest go hungry). There will be delicious home-made dishes on arrival, breakfast in the R&R room on Saturday morning, and a hot lunch to keep you going straight through to the pre-final reception, which will be shortly followed by the Gala Dinner (yum).
Parties
The Galway IV is famous for it’s innovative, top quality social events and as ever, we will do everything within our power to keep you entertained throughout the weekend. This includes a Monster Match-Making Céilí combined with a more mellow traditional music session on Friday night, and a fabulous cocktail reception before the Final in the beautiful and historic Aula Maxima of NUI, Galway. The Gala Dinner will return to the Renmore Army Barracks this year, where all will be treated to a delicious dinner followed by a DJ set in the tax-free bar and dancing the night away.
